A gentle reminder that everything you might want i A gentle reminder that everything you might want is on the other side of trying something new. No matter the outcome, either way, we grow through the process and become more resilient and confident. Better yet, building those skills helps in taking more risks and improves the chances of achieving future goals.
How many of you believe that a lack of access to i How many of you believe that a lack of access to investment - directly or through a community that invests in you - can hinder your ability to empower yourself, or empower others? We are building a new community of women in Web3 who invest in each other. Stay tuned!
Dear Tribe Community, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dear Tribe Community,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First of all thank you for being so loyal and patient.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Second of all, excuse me for the silence. I’ve been struggling to find the purpose for this community. When I started it, I wanted to create a positive stream somewhere where women would be celebrated for exactly who they are.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was tired of the idea that in order to feel worthy or to feel accomplished we had to attach that feeling to some future goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also want to be part of helping women build wealth and invest in each other, bringing my passions - culture, sustainability and innovation together. I am passionate about empowerment, and the creation of opportunities across industries.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The spotlight for me has really fallen on the technology side of things, and building inclusive communities connected around the world, in person and digitally.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Web3 communities of women or people for women, centred on democracy and community.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wanted to ask...are any of you in this community passionate about investing in other women?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Or seeking investment for yourselves?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Or do any of you work in the tech space?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope that as I roll out some of the ideas I have, that it is exciting to you all. I understand we might lose some of you along the way which will be sad for me, but I want to evolve and grow this community into something special.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We hope that you stick it out to see what that is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are in this community and passionate about tech or investing in women, or securing investment for yourself, let us know in the comments...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
if youever want to reach out to me on here you can do so through this profile or through

Here is to staying connected.

This is such an important reminder. Sharing words This is such an important reminder.

Sharing words and artwork from @harmonywillowstudio: Ok- so I try to keep my Instagram as positive and uplifting as possible because the world and life can very very cruel. But recently I heard the phrase- TOXIC POSITIVITY. Maybe I’m the last one to hear this but it hit me hard. Yes- it’s good to be positive and I want to spread happiness and kindness and beauty but also I can’t be fake. Some minutes, hours, days and weeks are hard. I cry, I have no idea what I am doing with my life, I overthink and I compare myself to other people all the time. Tonight was a night when I had to take a moment and let it all out and recognize that it’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok to be all in your feelings. It’s ok to have bad days. They are part of life’s puzzle. Sometimes I personally get caught up in the feeling that I need to always be looking for the silver lining in everything- when in reality- sometimes things are just shit. And that’s ok. Good night y’all ♥️

Alice Wong (@alicatsamurai) doesn’t want to take Alice Wong (@alicatsamurai) doesn’t want to take up a whole lot of space. Instead, she wants to create it. And for the better part of the last decade, she has.

“I’m very mindful of making sure that I don’t take up that much space — that it’s not just about me, me, me,” the 47-year-old disability activist told HuffPost. “I really want to ensure that other people have the spotlight and amplify the work of other people. That’s what gives me joy.”

Wong, who is based in San Francisco, is perhaps best known for launching the Disability Visibility Project, an online community that amplifies disability media and culture. It began as a partnership with StoryCorps that gives disabled people the opportunity to record their own oral histories. The project is now going on its seventh year.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. She is a co-partner with #CripTheVote, a nonpartisan online movement that engages disabled people in politics and policymaking. During the 2020 presidential election, she co-organized and moderated Twitter town halls with Democratic candidates Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

A daughter of Hong Kong immigrants, Wong was born and raised in Indianapolis. Growing up with a neuromuscular disability and two younger sisters, Wong said she didn’t have a choice but to be an advocate for herself and her family.

"My anxiety makes me question, ruminate, second guess, worry, rinse and repeat. the what-ifs are suffocating sometimes. lately, I’ve been working on switching the tone of my what-ifs from being negative to positive. after some practice, I actually feel a bit more excited about possibilities rather than afraid of them !! it’s a good start, hopefully, I’ll manifest some positive things from focusing on positive thoughts. you should give this a try ! 💓" - @crazyheadcomics

We absolutely love these supportive words from @ea We absolutely love these supportive words from @eatthecaketoo:

If you think stretch marks on tummies are reserved for mamas, that is just plain silly.
.
I’ve had stretch marks on my stomach for as long as I can remember so I really never gave them much thought.
.
In the summer, when my belly gets a little tan, my stretch marks look like white lightening and it makes me happy 😊
.
I think stretch marks are beautiful. They are like a roadmap on our bodies unique only to us. Part of what make us each a priceless masterpiece 🤍
.
Embrace your Tiger stripes 🙌🏼 and don’t let anyone tell you that they aren’t normal or beautiful.

"The pain of rejection is real! Rejection, feeling "The pain of rejection is real! Rejection, feeling judged and criticised can send us into a tailspin of thoughts ranging from ‘Am I enough?’ across to ‘Do I sound stupid?’ In ‘Does rejection hurt? An fMRI study of social exclusion’, a neuroimaging study led by Matthew Lieberman at UCLA, examined the neural correlates of social exclusion, and tested the hypothesis that the brain bases of social pain are like those of physical pain. “While everyone accepts that physical pain is real, people are tempted to think that social pain is just in their heads," said Matthew Lieberman. "But physical and social pain may be more similar than we realized." Being told to ‘toughen up’ won’t always cut it, so here is a reading list to help you along the way when it comes coping better and caring less." - THE TRIBE™️ Empowerment Journal.
