HOW DID YOU IDENTIFY YOUR PASSION AND THE WORK THAT SATISFIED YOU VERSUS WORK THAT JUST PAID THE BILLS?
I started out on the path of helping others to be their own healer. Actually it’s the only career I’ve ever really had. I just knew what I wanted to do do in the world and followed that> I didin’t think about making money or back up plans and my side hustles got me through the trying financial times when I was starting out but I never let them distract me. Helping the world become a more balanced place through the work I do with people was always my top priority.

WHO WILL ETERNALLY BE A WOMAN YOU ADMIRE AND RESPECT, AND WHY?
Hildegard Von Bingen because she was so ahead of her time and such an unapologetic creative spirit.

IN LIGHT OF YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF OUR HASHTAG #WHYITRIBE, WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO CELEBRATE WHO WE ALREADY ARE TODAY?
Because we are facing a gratitude crisis. Whenever you look at your phone or walk out your door you are confronted with the temptation to compare yourself with others and feel less than rather than being happy with who you are and what you have. Through gathering together consciously we can act as mirrors to eachother and encourage eachother to grow. I am enough. You are enough. We are enough.

NAME A TIME RECENTLY WHEN YOU SAID SOMETHING GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF/HOW DID THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?
I was invited to do a talk at a very public event. I spoke about how my husbamd and I decided to take a year being happy with what we have and all the medicine it brough into our lives. I spoke about how I got us out of debt with this practice and it felt really good to share this success openly and publically.

WHY DO YOU THINK WOMEN SHY AWAY FROM CELEBRATING OR PRAISING THEMSELVES SO MUCH?
Because we are afraid of judgement. We think if we say something good about ourselves others will think we think we are better than them.

HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THE TENDENCY TO DISCREDIT COMPLIMENTS YOU ARE GIVEN?
This is something I am honestly still practicing at but I try to just say thank you. Not follow it with anything not try to immediately return the complement. Just say thank you.

HOW DOES SOCIETY REINFORCE THE IDEA THAT WE, AS WOMEN, ARE NOT ENOUGH AND HOW CAN WE
TAKE THAT POWER BACK?
We take back our power everytime we, despite all the chances we have to feel less than, stand up for ourselves, stand up for each other and stand up for love.

WHY IS THE TRIBE MOVEMENT IMPORTANT?
The more connected we are the more we can learn from each other and grow together.
